One of the standout features of Sukiya Tokyo is its versatility. From traditional Japanese comfort foods to unique variations of popular dishes, there’s something for everyone. The restaurant specializes in gyudon (beef bowls), but you can also indulge in other options like curry, udon, and even bento boxes. The restaurant has earned a reputation for serving generous portions at affordable prices, making it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

For those unfamiliar with gyudon, it’s a bowl of tender beef slices simmered in a savory broth made with soy sauce, mirin, and sugar, served over a bed of steamed rice. Sukiya Tokyo’s gyudon is particularly renowned for its balanced flavors and the perfect tenderness of the beef. The sauce is rich and flavorful, and the beef is always cooked to perfection, not too chewy or dry. It’s the kind of meal that warms you up on a chilly Tokyo day, or serves as a satisfying lunch after a long day of sightseeing.

The menu at Sukiya Tokyo is both extensive and customizable. You can adjust the level of spice in your curry or choose from a range of toppings to add to your gyudon, such as extra egg, pickles, or even a side of miso soup. This flexibility allows diners to create their perfect meal, whether they prefer a light, simple dish or a heartier, more indulgent option. It’s easy to see why Sukiya Tokyo has such a loyal following; the combination of affordability and variety makes it an attractive choice for anyone looking to enjoy a flavorful, filling meal without breaking the bank.

  • Yummy. Average gyudon fast food chain with a lot of options. Might be too cramped for taller or bigger customers depending on the restaurant. Worth the price.

  • Tiny resturant with only one worker. You can eat there or take-away. You order your food from the tablet which makes it easy for foreigners. Good taste and amount, and not pricy Cash and cards

  • Best value food for a quick bite that won't hurt your wallet and still taste amazing. I got the gyudon sukiya style, and it was exactly what I wanted.

  • On a sweltering day in Shinjuku this spot started the day off for us! Great menu options and lunch specials operated through contactless QR code made it easy and efficient for American travelers like ourselves to order quick and pay without any trouble . The ramen is just as expected with deep savory broth, noodles that fully cook when served, decent portion of garnish and protein. The side dishes of fried rice and karagge chicken were great additions as well as the cold beverages. Will come again! Thank you!
